As per agreement with City Hall, all tour helicopter companies are restricted to flying over water. Prohibiting these flights has adjusted all tourism flight paths to along the water.

Any child under 24 months of age is welcome to ride as a lap child at no charge. Children 24 months and over require an individual full-fare seat.

*There is a $35 heliport fee per person that still applies to children under 2 years old.

Yes! Helicopters are among the safest transportation modes available, and are the most widely used air rescue vehicles in the world. We fly the Bell Jet Ranger that is statistically the safest aircraft ever built. Trust us, spend one day on one of our helicopters and you’ll never want to travel any other way!
Our helicopters seat either 4 or 6 passengers plus 1 pilot.

Yes, you need to make a reservation in advance. Book your New York City helicopter tour online or call us at 212-361-6060.

If New York Helicopter cancels tours due to bad weather then you can reschedule your tour for another day or cancel. Please call us at 212-480-8300 if you have questions and we can help you out.

Please make sure to bring your photo I.D. and credit/debit card used to book your reservation. You may not bring purses or backpacks into the helicopter, but will be allowed to store them in a locker for a $2.00 fee.

Only items allowed onboard the aircraft are handheld cameras, phones, ipads, sunglasses and small wallets.

Don’t forget to bring your camera to capture all of the great views!

Free parking is available at 78 John Miller Way, Kearny, NJ 07032. Guests will meet the shuttle bus at this location.

Directions for public transportation: Take the NJ Path train to Journal Square in Jersey City or NJ Transit to Newark Penn Station, then take an Uber or Taxi.

To cancel for a full refund you must cancel 48 hours in advance in a written email to info@newyorkhelicoptertours.com. Refunds can take up to 30 days to be processed.

We actively seek best-in-class training for our flight department. New York Helicopter Tours pilots also hold Bell 206 Factory School Certificates in addition to rigorous, scenario-based safety training.

Cancellation Policy

New York Helicopter Charter Inc. requires 48-hours in order to change or cancel a Helicopter Tour reservation.

New York Helicopter sightseeing tour reservations canceled within 48 hours before their scheduled departure will be assessed a cancellation fee equal to the full purchase price of the original ticket.

No-shows will be assessed a 100% cancellation fee.

If you need to change or cancel your tour reservation with us, please provide us with 48 hours notice prior to your scheduled tour time and we will be happy to accommodate your schedule change.

Any passenger failing to board their flight will be considered a no-show. No refund will be made for any unused portion once any segment of a scheduled flight is used.

Group Tour Policies: There are NO refunds on group tours reservations (6 or more passengers), however it is good for 1 year and must be utilized.

Terms and Conditions: All flights must have a reservation. No “walk-ins”. New York Helicopter has the right to cancel any flight any time for any reason -Management reserves the right to upgrade passengers on any tour flights. All passengers must have a valid photo ID and the credit or debit card used to book reservation. All flight reservations must be confirmed. Cancellations must be made 48 hours prior to your scheduled flight time. Gift Certificates bought directly from New York Helicopter Charter Inc. are valid for one year from the date of purchase.

IMPORTANT NOTICE Check in time is 45 minutes prior to your scheduled flight time at 78 John Miller Way, Kearny, NJ 07032.

Please call us at 862-849-2652 as soon as you arrive and our shuttle van which is light blue with a red and white helicopter and Miami Helicopter logo will pick you up from the front of BISTRO RESTAURANT located at the MIDDLE of the building.

***It is strongly advised to arrive prior to check in time to avoid being charged late fee***

***LATE FEE PRICES*** Passengers failing to arrive 45 minutes prior to scheduled flight time will be charged $50.00 per person late fee. Passengers arriving 30 minutes or less prior to scheduled flight time will be charged $100.00 per person late fee.

General Policies

New York Helicopter Charters & Tours reserves the right to upgrade, alter or terminate any or all of our tours due to security, weather, acts of God, or for any other reason we deem necessary. Please be advised that unforeseen circumstances may interfere with on-time departures.

Passengers failing to board their flight will be considered a no-show. No refund will be made for any unused portion once any segment is used.

Charter and Airport Transfers have a cancellation fee representing 50% of the quoted charge and will be assessed to the credit card if the Charter or Airport Transfer is cancelled within 48 hours of the scheduled flight. A fee of 100% of the quoted charge will be assessed to the credit card if cancelled within 24 hours of the scheduled flight.

Group Tour Policies
There are NO refunds on group tours reservations; it is good for one year and must be utilized.
